On October 30th, the Sacramento Kings will tip off their "new" era against the Denver Nuggets. However during this broadcast the local news station, who is doing the broadcast of the game will include no commercials, yes you read that right, zero commercials. Every sports watchers dream, an interruption free broadcast of a sporting event. The Kings, who were as good as gone from Sacramento are now in full re-build mode. Their newest addition being part owner Shaquille O'Neal. With plenty of young talent, a new rejuvenated fan base, and ownership that wants to win, there are signs of a bright future in Sacramento.

That is great for Kings. No commercials is a dream for the sports fan watching at home. What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThe Kings future looks very bright! The Kings are finally moving in the right direction. Every team needs to re-build at somepoint, I'm excited to see what they accomplish this year.
ReplyDeleteI believe this may be a bad idea because It will give fans a good reason to always stay home and watch the game. Ticket sales will maybe be in affect because nobody may not come to the game and stay home watch it for free.
ReplyDeleteI agree. This idea may back fire on the Kings. Not only will the ticket sales potentially suffer but they are also losing a lot of money on the sponsorship end of things. For a low market team this could be a big risk.
DeleteWith Shaq as part owner they're bound to be on the uprise, along with the young and new talent they have on their team. I agree with Shawn though and it might hurt the ticket sales with commercial-free viewing.
ReplyDeletecould you imagine having no more commericals for games. the superbowl would lose so much money lol. as far as the Kings are concerned, thats great that they are restarting froim the ground up. and with shaq at the relm, it should be a good thing for fans to be excited about.
